The SKPA committee try to raise funds in various ways e.g. stalls at fetes, car boot sales, special events such as BBQ’s and social get-togethers where we hold raffles etc. We also rely a great deal on the support of the local community and welcome and greatly value their help.
Funds are used to help purchase medical equipment for the Swindon Unit which is not forthcoming from the NHS. We also support patients who need much needed holidays away from the unit, but at locations where they can receive their dialysis treatment. We also try and take the patients out on day-trips and are looking at possible theatre visits.
